What Are The Best Testosterone Therapy Programs in Palm Beach? NovaGenix Leads The Way

 Can Testosterone Therapy really turn back the hands of time?

The Best TRT Program in Jupiter, Florida Can Help You Regain Your Vitality

What will TRT do to help me look, feel and live young again?

  • ·         Significantly increase one’s lean muscle
  • ·         Drastically decrease an individual’s abnormal body fat
  • ·         Increase bone mineral density
  • ·         Improve sexual drive and functioning
  • ·         Improve one’s mood and sense of well-being
  • ·         Increase energy levels and motivation

Where some benefits will start to appear in the first month of therapy, most effects begin to take place over the first few months.  All these benefits have made testosterone replacement therapy usage increase significantly over the past few years, and with good reason. Because it works. While TRT is usually well received and completely safe just as long as testosterone is kept within normal, physiologic levels. This is why it’s important to have a qualified and experienced physician.

Testosterone replacement therapy produces a reasonable increase in lean body mass (muscle mass) in men with low T. TRT users normally gain around three to six pounds of lean muscle mass in the first six months of therapy. As men age, they lose muscle mass, typically about 0.5 to 1.0% per year after they turn 40. This rate in reduction becomes much faster after the age of 40 and is much worse if they have low testosterone. Muscle contributes a significant amount to an individual’s resting metabolism. Therefore, any loss in muscle will slow down the resting metabolism. Once T levels are stabilized within normal range, some increases in muscle mass typically start to taper off. This stabilization often occurs after around six months of treatment. You will look lean and tone, and feel amazing.

Testosterone therapy also produces a moderate decrease in body fat, especially abdominal fat mass, in elderly men with low T. Typical fat loss will range anywhere between five to ten pounds in the first six months of TRT treatment. So you will not see a significant change in weight, but rather a real change in BMI. You will have more muscle and less fat. You will feel energized and stronger with more focus. You will in short, feel like a new man.

What does this mean?
As men age, they typically will gain fat mass, especially abdominal (otherwise known as visceral) fat. Besides giving you an unwanted gut and love handles, this increase in fat increases the incidence and risk of cardiovascular problems. TRT for men with low levels can keep you thinner and healthier since long-term studies consistently show a decrease in fat mass and men at healthier weight suffer fewer chronic health conditions.

Testosterone Therapy: 5 Popular Myths That Aren't True.

Learn The Truth About TRT and Why You Need To Start Therapy Now!

Often men who are curious about starting testosterone replacement therapy are exposed to myths that may both confuse and scare them away from beginning treatment. It’s not unusual for us to hear about wives and girlfriends “forbidding” their men from starting TRT because of the “Things” that they’ve heard about hormone replacement. They’re afraid of what will happen to their husbands and boyfriends once they raise their testosterone levels. The fact is, the most common myths about TRT that prevent people from getting the help that will undoubtedly improve their health and quality of life. Here are a few of the more common misconceptions that we hear from patients who are apprehensive about starting TRT and the truth behind these myths. If you want to look and feel better, have more focus and energy, increased sex drive and performance, then read more here and call NovaGenix at 561-277-8260 to schedule a consultation to learn how your life can improve with just one visit to our facility.

#1. Testosterone Makes Men Aggressive and Violent.
Recent studies and new scientific evidence refutes the popular preconception that testosterone will cause aggressive, violent, egocentric, and risky behavior. Most people think that men on TRT will become hyper-aggressive and violent and if you as a woman believe this to be true, then obviously you wouldn’t want to let a potential maniac into your house. However recent studies have shown that view to be false. According to a recent study at the Universities of Zurich and Royal Holloway London (Eisenegger et al. Prejudice and truth about the effect of testosterone on human bargaining behaviourNature, 2009) “The study's results contradict this view sharply. Test subjects with an artificially enhanced testosterone level generally made better, fairer offers than those who received placebos, thus reducing the risk of a rejection of their offer to a minimum. "The preconception that testosterone only causes aggressive or egoistic behavior in humans is thus clearly refuted," sums up Eisenegger.” As it turns out, most men who start TRT say that they feel better and that their moods have improved as a result. It’s important to note, that TRT is replacing testosterone to therapeutic levels that the body is no longer capable of producing. This benefits a male greatly and has a tremendous impact on  their overall health and happiness.

#2 Testosterone Causes Prostate Cancer.
Most average physicians are convinced that TRT will lead to prostate growth and cancer. The idea that one could get prostate cancer from starting TRT is certainly a valid reason to avoid therapy at all costs. Most people have heard this story about testosterone causing prostate cancer in men. As it turns out, this too is not in fact true. Most of these misconceptions about TRT and cancer came about due to faulty scientific studies from decades ago. More recent research has found out that this there is no association between prostate cancer and TRT.  “At the May 2015 American Urological Association Annual Meeting, the results of a meta-analysis indicated that natural and prescription testosterone (both endogenous and exogenous, respectively) do not cause prostate cancer or trigger increases in the levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA).Oct 10, 2016” (https://prostate.net/articles/testosterone-prostate-cancer-link) Not only does TRT NOT cause prostate cancer, it way actually help PREVENT it! Logically if higher levels of testosterone are responsible for prostate related health issues, why then do we not see 18-24 year olds (who typically have the highest testosterone levels) have prostate issues? The confusion of testosterone and the risk of prostate cancer is that the risk of developing cancer increases as men get older, which happens to be the same time men’s normal T levels begin to drop. There is a possible correlation between low testosterone levels and even potentially having too much estrogen—being a factor that can cause the risks to increase.

#3 My Balls Will Shrink
This is partially true. Men who take steroids or JUST testosterone will stop producing testosterone naturally as their body registers an increase in T levels. The testes stop making T on their own and within a month, the testicles will be noticeably smaller and softer. HOWEVER….If you are under the care of an experienced physician with knowledge of TRT, they will hopefully prescribe HcG which when taken at the right dosage helps restore and maintain testosterone production in the testes by mimicking LH and triggering the production and release of testosterone. This prevents the testes from shrinking and maintains natural testosterone production in men on TRT. For some guys, it’s all about the symmetry! Here is a link with more info on testicular atrophy and TRT. (https://www.livestrong.com/article/222751-the-effects-of-testosterone-on-the-testis/)

#4. I’ll Grow Man Boobs.
Once again…Not entirely true. If you decide to take testosterone on your own without the guidance of a physician, or if you have an inexperienced doctor, you may begin to have an increase in estrogen levels. It’s possible that when a male's testosterone levels are especially low in comparison to estrogen, or the body there is an increase in estrogen production as a response to testosterone production, larger breasts could possibly develop. This condition is called gynecomastia and it may appear because of estrogen production. Even the myth about testosterone induced “roid rage” is often an increase of estrogen which can cause “PMS” like symptoms in a man. Once again, with an experienced doctor, you’ll have your levels tested and analyzed and an estrogen blocker prescribed to make sure that you’ll get the full benefits of TRT and none of the possible unwanted side effects like man boobs and roid rage. Read more about gynecomastia and TRT here (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14963480)

#5. I’ll Turn Into The Hulk

When you undergo TRT, you are replacing what your body is no longer producing. Therapeutic
doses that are meant to keep you within the upper ranges of normal T levels in men your age.
As a result of TRT, a male can expect to lose body fat and shed unwanted pounds. They’ll even put
on some lean muscle mass bust rest be assured, you WILL NOT grow to gargantuan proportions!
Typically, a person looking to gain muscle via steroids for performance enhancing reasons, they
would take at least 600mg of testosterone a week. TRT protocols for therapeutic purposes are legal
and medically beneficial for the patient and usually are at 210mg on the upper range of a prescription
written by a doctor. How much muscle a man will put on depend on several factors, such as age,
genetics, lifestyle, diet, exercise routine etc… So the truth is that a man on TRT will put on SOME
muscle and lose fat but they will NOT turn into Mr. Olympia. They’ll feel energized, and look and
feel better but in regards to muscle mass, they will not look freakishly large and bulky!

Why Does Platelet-Rich Plasma Hair Growth Treatment Work?

Platelet Rich Plasma Hair Restoration: An OverView To How PRP Can Help ReGrow Hair.

At NovaGenix, we’ve been providing patients PRP therapy as a proactive therapeutic option for men and women experiencing hair loss. PRP is an exciting non-surgical hair restoration option for patients who need stimulation of hair growth for hair loss conditions.

Recent scientific studies within the medical community and advancements in technology have provided medical professionals with new understandings of wound and tissue healing. Because of this recent scientific research, we can recognize PRP as an all-natural autologous medical procedure conducted by physicians offices and clinics for hair stimulation as well as that of the scalp and skin. The results have been amazing and both men and women in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s are seeing results that they never imagined possible.

Contained within the human blood is mesenchymal stem cells, and autologous blood products which has essential and specific growth factors that assist in tissue regeneration and healing. Medical literature and published studies from both Europe and the United States confirm the overall safety and effectiveness of PRP therapy. PRP has been used as a medial adjunct therapy for over twenty years for skin and wound healing. It’s established itself to be effective as a medical treatment modality in the specialty fields of oral surgery, neurosurgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery, sports medicine and orthopedics. It’s been used extensively in these specialties for the last twenty years with universally positive success rates and outcomes. For PRP use in hair restoration, evidence has supported the therapy as a very promising treatment option for the promotion of hair growth. It should be noted that PRP is in the initial stages of scientific research in hair restoration, and not meant to replace current FDA approved, however it is a promising non-surgical therapeutic option for those patients with hair loss and has shown some amazing results thus far.

Blood is drawn in our office the same way as when you’re getting routine blood work at your primary care provider. The blood is then spun in a high-speed centrifuge and the Platelet Rich Plasma is separated into a high concentration. The PRP is then separated and removed from the rest of the blood sample. In PRP, the platelets are concentrated to 3X their normal blood values. The system eliminates granulocytes which are cells that impede in the process of tissue regeneration and wound healing. The highly concentrated platelet rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into the scalp. The patient feels no pain during the injections due to a local anesthesia being utilized on the scalp. Afterwards, the patient’s hair is cleaned and the patient can drive home with no side effects. PRP contains several growth factors which stimulate hair follicle growth. PRP can be used preoperatively, intraoperatively, or post operatively. Many patients have chosen to have PRP performed every three (3) to four (4) months as early data suggests regular or semiannual PRP treatments that may stimulate hair growth.

Platelets which are contained in the PRP, are what scientists believe to theoretically cause growth of the hair follicles through the stimulation of stem cells and other cells within the microenvironment of the hair follicles. These cells promote healing, and often accelerates the rate and total degree of tissue healing and regeneration, response to injury, and the formation of new growth on a cellular level. The primary purpose of using PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase.
Inside the Platelets there’s several intracellular structures like glycogen, lysosomes and alpha granules. These granules within the PRP contain clotting and growth factors that are eventually released during the healing and repair process.

  •          Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF)—promotes blood vessel growth, cell replication, skin formation;
  •         Transforming Growth-Factor-Beta (TGF-b)—promotes growth of matrix between cells, bone metabolism;
  •         Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)—promotes blood vessel formation;
  •         Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)—promotes cell growth and differentiation, blood vessel formation, collagen formation;
  •         Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 (FGF-2)—promotes growth of specialized cells and blood vessel formation;
  •      Insulin Like Growth Factor - (IGF)—a regulator of normal physiology in nearly every type of cell in the body

At the end of the day, PRP for hair restoration offers the best chance for hair growth for patients who aren’t good candidates for surgery or those men and women who want a more aggressive nonsurgical approach to treatment for their hair loss. If you need hair stimulation, NovaGenix will be able to meet your needs. Results will sometimes vary from patient to patients, but thus far, PRP has been shown to offer a real solution and hope to men who wish to restore their hair and youthful appearance.

Platelet-rich Plasma For Skin Rejuvenation & Anti-Aging. Rejuvenate and revitalize your aging skin with no side effects, for glowing and beautiful skin

One of the single most effective treatments, PRP relies on the harnessing of the body's own healing and restorative processes to rejuvenate the skin. Other treatments, like Lasers for example, selectively wound the skin to encourage the skin to produce new skin in its' place. Other skin treatments, creams and facial peels are also designed to help boost and support the skin's natural healing and renewal processes.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an example of a medical technique being used to improve a patient’s skin using the natural, healing components of the body, specifically within the plasma of their own blood. This treatment has also become widely known as the “PRP Facelift”.
This type of treatment has been popular and successfully used for many years to help heal wounds and encourage faster recovery and healing, for example in athletes suffering from sports injuries. Tiger Woods, for example has used PRP therapy to recover quickly from knee surgery. Washington Nationals star pitcher Stephen Strasburg has also received treatment on his pitching arm to speed recovery. PRP also has a long history in the treatment of surgical recovery, bone cancer, ulcers, and torn ligaments, and there have been reported successes in a large variety of other conditions. Its truly an amazing procedure that has been very popular in Europe for decades.

Recently, PRP therapy has been introduced as a method of rejuvenation for the skin, helping to accelerate normal healing processes and cell renewal by stimulating collagen formation, revascularization (increasing blood supply) and subcutaneous repair. Using a patients own blood means that there is absolutely zero risk of adverse reactions to the treatment, since no drugs are involved. PRP can also be used as a 'natural filler' to help restore volume where necessary, helping to create a smooth natural fuller look and glow to the skin.

How does PRP benefit the skin?

Our blood contains platelets. These platelets help to clot the blood and repair damaged areas within the body. Platelets also release growth factors which will stimulate the growth of new, healthy tissue. When PRP is injected into the skin, it activates dermal fibroblasts, a component in the skin that plays a key role in maintaining skin integrity and youthfulness, causing the synthesis of cell-renewal ingredients such as collagen, adhesive molecules and cytokines. It has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of wrinkles and for skin rejuvenation due to its growth factor activity..

A study published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, showed that Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment improved skin wrinkles, texture, elasticity, volume and skin tone. Patients reported an 82% improvement in skin tone, 52% improvement in wrinkle appearance, 87% improvement in general appearance, and 100% satisfaction with the treatment outcomes. For anyone concerned with their appearance and want to look younger, healthier and improve their appearance, PRP can be the perfect treatment option.
